Barrakee Ski Lodge is located on snow in Perisher Valley in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia.
We are situated near the North Perisher T-Bar and Interceptor quad chair lift, to give you easy access to all areas of the Perisher ski fields. Google Map
Travelling By Car
- From Sydney:
Take the Hume Highway south-west to Goulburn, then the Federal highway south to Canberra or Queanbeyan.
- From Canberra/Queanbeyan:
Take the Monaro Highway south to Cooma, then the Snowy Mountains Highway south-west to Jindabyne.
- From Jindabyne:
Take the Thredbo Road (Alpine Way) west to Bullock’s Flat.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to overnight snowfalls during winter, there is NO PARKING at Perisher Valley itself. We recommend you leave your car at Bullock’s Flat on the Thredbo Road (Alpine Way). You are not required to carry snow chains and the parking is free. You can then travel by Skitube to Perisher. Please contact us beforehand to check snow conditions.
Travelling By Air
Five return services per week commenced from March 2016. Additional services on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays will operate through the ski season.
Alternatively, you can fly to Canberra airport with a number of domestic airlines and take a bus from Canberra (see below).
Travelling By Bus
Numerous companies in Canberra and Sydney offer bus services to the Skitube terminal at Bullock’s Flat or Perisher Valley.
The Skitube train runs regularly from Bullock’s Flat to the Perisher Skitube Terminal. For more details about the Skitube, including timetables and prices, see the Perisher Web site at:
